1. About these terms
Strimba is provided by Paceworks B.V., Drienerstraat 77, 7551 HL Hengelo, the Netherlands (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 42109694) (“we”, “us”). How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
2. The service
Strimba is a dashboard for streamers and their moderators. It lets you:
- read the chat of your Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok channels in one combined chat;
- control OBS Studio on your streaming PC from a browser, through the Strimba agent;
- set up chat commands that run OBS shortcuts and post a reply in chat;
- see follows, subscriptions, Super Chats, memberships, donations and other events in one activity overview;
- work together with a team of moderators, each with the permissions you give them.
3. Your account and team
- You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to use the platforms you connect.
- Give correct information and keep your sign-in details, recovery codes and paired PCs safe.
- You are responsible for what happens through your account, including what the team members you invite do with the permissions you gave them. Only give people access you trust, and remove access you no longer need.
- Tell us at support@strimba.com straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Strimba against the rules of Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok or any other platform you connect;
- use chat commands or replies to spam, harass, deceive or post content that is unlawful or that the platform does not allow;
- connect channels or accounts you are not allowed to manage;
- try to get access to other people's accounts, agents or data, test the security of Strimba without our written permission, or work around rate limits or other protections;
- overload Strimba or use it in a way that harms the service or other users, for example by using up the shared YouTube quota on purpose;
- resell Strimba or offer it as part of another service without our permission.
5. The Strimba agent
Some features need the Strimba agent, a Windows program you install on the PC you stream from. By installing it you accept the following:
- What it does. The agent connects to Strimba over an encrypted connection and, on that PC, carries out what you and your team ask in the dashboard: controlling OBS Studio (scenes, sources, audio and the other actions of your shortcuts), reading OBS's state, running shortcuts when a chat command is used, and, if you set them up, controlling smart lights, printing on a printer you choose, measuring stream bitrate and opening your TikTok LIVE page to read its chat.
- Only signed commands. The agent only carries out commands that are digitally signed by Strimba, and only for the account it is paired with. It does not give Strimba general access to your PC or your files.
- Your control. You decide which PC you pair. You can unpair a PC in the dashboard, quit the agent or uninstall it at any time; after that it can no longer be controlled through Strimba.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the PC the agent runs on, for keeping Windows and OBS up to date, and for the actions you and your team trigger. Test your shortcuts before you rely on them in a live stream.
- Updates. We may release new versions of the agent. Older versions may stop working when the service changes.
OBS Studio is independent software and is not made by us. Plugins we provide for OBS come with their own licence.
6. Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok
Strimba works with platforms run by other companies. Strimba is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Twitch, YouTube, Google, Kick, TikTok or OBS Studio. When you connect a platform, its own terms keep applying to you, and you are responsible for following them.
YouTube. Strimba uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to Strimba, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service ( https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Strimba's access to your YouTube account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The other platforms' terms are, for example, the Twitch Terms of Service, the Kick Terms of Service and the TikTok Terms of Service.
Platforms can change or limit their services at any time. YouTube, for example, gives Strimba a daily quota that is shared by all streamers; when it runs low, Strimba first stops posting chat replies on YouTube and, when it is used up, stops reading YouTube chat until the quota resets. We are not responsible for such limits or for outages of the platforms.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to what you put into Strimba, such as your shortcuts, chat-command replies and settings. You give us permission to store, process and send it only as far as needed to provide Strimba to you, for example to post your chat replies as your channel. You are responsible for the replies you set up and confirm you are allowed to post them.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Strimba available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available, free of errors, or that every chat message or event is delivered. Strimba depends on the internet, your PC and the platforms you connect. We may change, add or remove features. If we introduce paid features, we will never charge you without your explicit agreement.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost income, missed donations, an interrupted stream or damage to your reputation, or for damage caused by platforms, your PC or the actions of you and your team. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Strimba in the twelve months before the damage, or € 100 if you paid nothing. These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, or where the law does not allow them, and they do not affect your rights as a consumer.
10. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using Strimba at any time: unpair your PCs, uninstall the agent and ask us at support@strimba.com to delete your account.
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you put Strimba, other users or a platform at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix the problem.
- If we stop offering Strimba altogether, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance where possible.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you in the dashboard or by e-mail before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Strimba; if you keep using it after the change, the new terms apply.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are brought before the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may also go to the court there.
